In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed my talk I doubt I can catch the flight we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an amazing helper".

These messages were released on Wednesday together with more than 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets has been able to confirm his identity by matching the dates, events, and locations mentioned.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a plane from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as Trump's closest advisers in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a documentary about Epstein before his death and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his show recently, he stated: "We plan to publish the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released materials indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A short time prior to the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're well looked after."

British Affairs Mentioned in Messages

The published communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in that year.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit issue this morning with Farage, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to the UK prime minister, the embattled UK prime minister at the time, he added: "They are trying to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think staying as much as you can uk. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "I don't see how however the people over here have no balls" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually toppled in May 2019 after surviving two votes of no confidence in late 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has never been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the Department of Justice should release all its records concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was reignited recently after the release of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those mentioned the former president, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but says they parted ways in the 2000s, a couple of years before Epstein was initially charged.
